Mordheim Fire
So I had this grand idea of making a campfire for my latest competition Mordheim terrain, and I was going to “bust out some mad skills” with the green stuff I got off of ebay to make a sweet looking campfire. Unfortunately I ran into two problems:
- My Green Stuff apparently has aired out a lot, and is very hard to work with.
- Fire is really hard to make.
Now that I have my excuses out of the way, this is what I have created:

Mordheim Terrain Rubble
This weekend has been very productive for my Mordheim hobby. I’ve been able to put some quality time into detailing my latest Mordheim Terrain “Elevation.” Since most of the main structure of this terrain has been created, I am now working on the terrain details; namely rubble.

Mordheim Miniature Carrying Case 3
Although I wasn’t planning on working on my Mordheim Miniature carrying case for another month or so, I just couldn’t help myself.

Destroying Mordheim Terrain
I’ve spent the last couple days destroying my Mordheim Terrain Elevation (or Mordheim Elevation Terrain or whatever). I worked out a great schedule and I’ve been getting in a couple hours of Mordheim every day! Since this project is in the TG competition, I have put everything else aside to make sure I finish in time (1 more month).
To keep my thoughts organized, I went ahead and “declared” that the North side of this structure is above the letters, and the South side is below the letters. Here’s the pics of my progress over the last couple days:
Here’s the West Wall:

Mordheim Miniature Carrying Case 2
Since my Mordheim Model Case post, I have cut the grey foam in half and cut three columns to put my miniatures in:

Destroying Pink Foam Elevation
Since my last post, I’ve been slowly hacking away at my section of pink foam that I am using for a Mordheim Urban Hill, and in general for easy elevation. I have also cut some low walls and pillars for the terrain. Here is a view from the front:

Mordheim Terrain – Stairs
I have done some more work on my companion piece for my Mordheim Urban Hill Terrain. I have cut out the three sets of stairs, and come up with an idea for the low wall.
How to create stone stairs out of Pink Foam:

Mordheim Elevation Platform #2
I was very happy with how my first Mordheim Platform came out, and I’ve been thinking about making another one. Then Terragenesis came out with a competition for “companion pieces,” and since I haven’t entered a competition for a little while, I decided to go for it.
I decided to make a piece of terrain like my first one, only larger. Here is my first sketch of it:

Miniature Carrying Case
As a young’un, I’ve created two carrying cases for my minis, because there was no way I was going to pay GW a ridiculous amount of money for them to make one for me. I found a box I wanted to use, cut a piece of yellow foam (like what they use for seat cushions) to fit inside the box. Cut off a half an inch slab of the top with a razor blade, and then with scissors, cut a perfectly sized hole for my miniature. When we got into Orcs, we found a plastic “briefcase” for the Orc and Goblin warband, and we did the same thing for that. Since the briefcase is a cooler miniature carrying case, I’m going to see If I can get most of my miniatures to fit in that carrying case.
This of course means that I need to create another foam insert for my new miniatures. Read the Rest of the Post >

Mordheim Tree
I’ve been bothered about the lack of dead trees and plants in Mordheim. You can’t deny that there must have been trees and bushes in Mordheim before the comit hit, why have I never seen any burnt tree stumps in the rubble of Mordheim? I don’t really know, but I’m determined to create a tree for Mordheim; or at least the remains of one. So I started trying to think of something that would allow me to create this. I ended up creating a “planter” for some tree stumps.
