About Ashton Sanders

-

Ashton Sanders is a website designer and developer by trade. He is the Owner and President of Websites in a Flash, and he can usually be found at his computer in Montana working on websites. On his free time, you can find him playing with Mordheim or on his computer working on websites.

Ashton Sanders played Mordheim in High School, and is now excited to return to it. The game of Mordheim has many different aspects that are very fun. Whether it is building creepy-looking, mostly-destroyed buildings, or playing the game, there is a lot of fun to be had.

Now that I’m done with my third person section, lets move on to first person. =]

Ashton Sanders’ Philosophies:

I figured that I might as well share with you some of my philosophies that will inadvertently affect the way that I go about my Mordheim Adventures.

Ashton Sanders and Money

First off, I could very well be the thriftiest Mordheim junky to walk the earth. Why should I pay $12.00 for some pieces of wood when I can go out into my yard and find something that will work even better? A lot of the time, I come out on top, and I’m sure I’ve saved thousands of dollars with this philosophy. It is true, sometimes I end up wasting hours of time and get nothing done, when I should have spent $5 to get the tool I needed. In the long run, I feel I have profited much more from this philosophy than I have lost.

Ashton Sanders’ Makeshift Everything

Second, (probably because of the first) I love to do things the makeshift way as opposed to the “normal” (and usually expensive) way. This is why I use Popsicle sticks instead of balsa wood. It works just as well; it just takes more time and work as the wood is not as forgiving.

Ashton Sanders, the Perfectionist

Third, I’m a 98% perfectionist. I say 98% because I want to create a perfect product, but if it’s going to cost $50 (or even $5) to get the “perfect” material for what I’m building, I’ll figure out how to use materials I already have instead. It’s not going to be “perfect.” But I’ll do my best to make it look it. =)

Ashton Sanders Blogs too much

Fourth, I’m a Blogging addict. I really have no idea what my problem is, but I have three blogs now, and I could post on them all day long and be happy. I also have a thing for posting once a day, every day for the first couple months of my blog. “I have a problem.” And now that it’s been a couple months, my target is to get 10 posts a month, so a post every three days.

Ashton Sanders is Way Behind

Fifth, I have a lot of work to do to get my Mordheim buildings, models, etc. “perfect.” Currently, I’m working on my buildings, and then I’ll work on my models, etc.

Ashton Sanders’ 2008 Targets:

Although I didn’t start these target’s until after almost half the year has gone by, I’m going to call them my new years resolution. I want to have two well painted warbands and enough good terrain to play a good game of Mordheim. I have added a little tally onto the top of the right hand navigation bar that displays how close I am to reaching my target. As you can see, I still have a long way to go. (Updated 5/17/08)
