Mordheim Horse Cart gets some Paint

Random Terrain Bits,Terrain
Author: Ashton Sanders

I think is the longest incomplete Mordheim project I have ever had. I started this horse cart in Novermber of last year (almost 1 year ago). Here is this almost-complete horse cart as it sits on my desk today:

Some Scenic Bits for Morheim & Environs

Random Terrain Bits,Terrain
Author: DeafNala

Introduction:

I would like to introduce the first co-author on the Mordheim in Montana Blog. Although this gifted wordsmith isn’t actually located in Montana, he is a talented Mordheimer, painter and terrain maker (as you will soon see) and will make an excellent addition to this blog.

I was extremely lucky to receive the following fine terrain bits as a gift in exchange for taking pictures of them. Don’t tell my parents, but these are the sweetest gifts I’ve gotten in a long time. =)

Enjoy,
Ashton Sanders

This is a variant of the “I Work For Food” [which I DO Suspect ] theme; in this case, it’s “I paint for pics.”

But that a side, NOW TO DAZZLE YOUR COLLECTIVE BRAINS WITH WORKS OF WONDER: affraid AN EXCLUSIVE PRESENTATION FROM THE COLLECTION OF ASHTON “THE MONTANA KID” SANDERS:

Below we find a Group shot of the Thingys I dispatched to Ashton to ply his AMAZING photograhic talents upon, AND to test his patience with NUMEROUS questions of ASTOUNDING stupidity:

Incomplete Mordheim Well

Random Terrain Bits,Terrain
Author: Ashton Sanders

For one of my last Mordheim terrain pieces, I created a well to accompany it in a competition. The competition came down to the wire before I had everything painted, so I skipped the well, leaving it on my workbench waiting to be painted.

As I try to finish up all of my incomplete projects, I have done some painting:

Removing Paint from Plastic Models

Mordheim Models,Painting
Author: Ashton Sanders

My brother and I got into Mordheim when it came out in 1999. As teenagers, we had very little affinity for a good paint job. We just wanted to get our minis on the table and kick the trash out of eachother. We had a blast, and Mordheim became a very fond memory for the both of us (and friends, too).

But because of how little we cared about our paint job, I know cringed whenever I look at the paint jobs on my old minis. Thanks to Tom, and other painting sources across the internet, I’ve slowly been learning how to paint well.

So now that I’m ready to paint some awesome Mordheim Miniatures, I have decided to remove the paint from a bunch of my plastic models and metal models. I have already tried Tom‘s Brake fluid, and it works fine except for how toxic it is.

I mentioned earlier how I found a great article on removing paint with simple green. So I grabbed a pile of my plastic and metal models with bad paint jobs, one bottle of Simple Green and 1 (clean) cottage cheese container.

Mordheim Animosity Counters

Orcs and Goblins in the game of Mordheim (as well as Warhammer) love to fight so much that they can easily get in a fight with each other in the middle of a game. In Mordheim, this is called Animosity. Any orc or goblin henchman afflicted by animosity for a round can not do anything else for that round. Sometimes it is hard to remember which angry orc or goblin can’t do anything for the rest of the turn, so I created these counters to help me remember.
