Five Painted Squigs

Forget the Dog, beware of the Squigs!

Mordheim Squigs
Painted by Ashton Sanders

Yeay! I have painted all the squigs I will ever need for one Mordheim Orc and Goblin warband. I am very pleased with how they came out, although I’m slightly disgruntled about how much time I have put into each Mordheim Squig. Hopefully the perfectionist in me will speed up…

I think my favorite one is the second from the left. It looks like his eyes are glowing. (Thanks Deafnala.) And tied for second are the two squigs with the big mouths and long teeth.

Haha, the one in the middle has always been my favorite model (Kenny used an Orc warband w/Squigs), but my favorite is also the one you mentioned – he looks particularly devilish.

Brilliant Ash! Well done! 🙂 Wow, you seem to be getting better by the day.

Keep it up. Why not post these guys in “Ashton’s Orcs and Goblins” thread? There would make a beautiful addition to the gallery.

Yea, they’re not in the gallery yet, but they’re in my Painting and Modeling thread. I’ll probably present them all together when the entire thing is done.

Hey, I love the way those squigs turned out, and was wondering if you could maybe make a tutorial (or list of steps/paints used) for how to paint them?

I’m making a night goblins warband and I’m distinguishing the shaman by painting his skin orange, but I’m not quite sure how to do that, then I found this. Any help would be much appreciated.
